Last year they raised in excess of $36,000 for the Royal
Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal. Join in the fun as
Queenscliff throws the floodgates open for the kids to busk to
raise money for the kids.
There is a full day of fun on offer as the streets of Queenscliff
and the Queenscliff Harbour are turned into a field of buskers and
entertainment for everyone.
Queenscliff has a history of supporting the Royal Children's
Hospital (RCH) Good Friday Appeal and 'Kids Busking for Kids', in
its first year last year, is no exception to the efforts of the
town in raising funds for the appeal.
Come join in the fun as the town comes alive to a feast of
activities.
There are 12 unplugged sites around Queenscliff as the buskers are
rotated among some 80 entertainers. The kids are aged 8yrs through
to 25 years.
The main street, Hesse Street, will be closed for busking and
activities.
Amongst the fun will be school bands, dance activities, train
rides, ice sculpting, photo booths, The Music Box, major raffle
draws, marine touch tank, jumping castles, face painting, clowns
and competitions.
Queenscliff hopes to be featured on the Channel 7 RCH Good Friday
appeal coverage. Last year they handed over the cheque live on
camera.
