You don’t need a golden ticket to enter this sweet haven. Cross the threshold and into the magic of Moorabool Valley Chocolate. Observe chocolatiers as they expertly churn out delectable chocolate treats for you to devour. Take a seat at the café and pore over the extensive menu, including an array of sweet temptations but also savoury sensations and drinks aplenty. In the wise words of Willy Wonka – ‘If you want to view paradise, simply look around and view it’… then take a pic for Insta!
Held on the first Saturday of every month (except January) is the award-winning Golden Plains Farmers’ Market. Wander and peruse the pathways that are lined with the Moorabool Valley’s freshest of fresh produce and handiest of handcrafted goods; vegetables, wine, blooms, breads, free range meats, gourmet tarts, vegan treats, plants, natural personal products, bespoke gifts and so much more. The Golden Plains Farmers’ Market has an electric atmosphere and an eye-catching (and insta-worthy) vibrancy.
Wildflower brilliance, prolific birdlife, steep valleys, a cavernous gorge, mountain ranges, babbling creeks, a rocky river, active wildlife – The Brisbane Ranges National Park definitely delivers adventure and discovery. With a number of bushwalking options, from short walks to three-day hikes, this park’s environment is yours to explore. Not one to walk it out, there are also copious picture-perfect picnic spots and scenic drives.
