NAIDOC Week – Cultural Conversations | "Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!"

Join wonderful, local First Nations artists Kait James, Gerard Black, and Tarryn Love, for a panel discussion around the NAIDOC 2022 theme, “Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!”
Spend the afternoon hearing firsthand how art not only enables and strengthens cultural connection, but can also serve as a platform for activism, for change and for sharing a unique point of view.
This is an opportunity for Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal people of all backgrounds and gender identities to gather, join the conversation, ask questions, and walk together.

The Boy Who Talked To Dogs
The Boy Who Talked To Dogs is a mischievous and magical work for all ages from Adelaide's acclaimed Slingsby.
Based on the true story of Nimbin’s famous “Dogman”, who grew up in Garryowen, Limerick, this tough but tender tale is a celebration of the love of animals we share our homes and lives with, starring acclaimed Dublin actor Bryan Burroughs amidst a dazzling array of shadows, songs and stellar musicianship.

Award-winning singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke's Child In Reverse Tour heads to Geelong. Joined by her a six-piece band, the tour will see Kate play regional towns and cities across Australia, performing 15 shows over four months.

Sunshine Super Girl
A young girl hits a ball against the tin wall of her family’s home. This is where it all began for Evonne Goolagong. Hers is a quintessentially Australian story about a girl from the bush who dared to dream, and with the support of an outback farming town, rose to become the No. 1 tennis player in the world and a household name by the age of 19.
This landmark new Australian work is written and directed by Yorta Yorta/Gunaikurnai theatremaker Andrea James (Yanagai! Yanagai!).
