Point Lonsdale: Where To Eat (And Drink)

Point Lonsdale: Where To Eat (And Drink)

Lonny is the quintessential seaside destination – a great beach, a strip of shops overlooking the water and the sounds and smells of the ocean are ever-present. All that salty sea air will set tummies rumbling – let us help you find somewhere to fill up.

NOBLE ROT: Drink and graze and grab a bottle for later at this wine store-cum-café-cum-restaurant. Or, if you’re in town at the right time you might catch live music, a special tasting (like the Tour de France bringing cheese and wine together while the cyclists tackle the French countryside) or a special wine dinner featuring wonderful vineyards from near and far.

BANKS ROAD VINEYARD: When it comes to wine we follow the gospel of James Halliday, and he reckons Banks Road is a 4.5 star vineyard. A short drive out of Point Lonsdale but commanding views across the vineyard to The Rip, we count this place as a Point Lonsdale asset! The cellar door is open Thursday to Sunday and offers a taste of their range to find something you’ll want to take home. Bistro at Banks is the on-site restaurant offering breakfast on weekends, dinner on Saturday night and lunch Thursday to Monday inclusive.

LONSDALE GOLF CLUB: For a casual lunch, snack or dinner, the golf club’s a great option. There’s decent pub fare (with pub prices to match) alongside some fancier options. Views are across the course towards Lake Victoria, and in winter the open fire will be roaring.

GROW NATURALLY: Healthy, organic and with a natural vibe there’s some great options on the menu for foodies, diet-conscious and those with allergies. Juices and smoothies are ace too.

Keep an eye out as well for awesome fish & chips and Ice cream shops!

So what are you doing this weekend?
