The annual celebration of Victoria’s food and wine industry dazzles with a program of 200+ metro and regional events including – you got it – Geelong and The Bellarine. And it’s all happening 31 March – 9 April.

Regional World’s Longest Lunches – Geelong, Bellarine, Inverleigh and Queenscliff | FRI 31 March
“Build a longer table, not a higher fence.” So they did. Not just one, but twenty simultaneous long lunch tables around the state, including four in our midst. At Geelong’s waterfront, pull up a seat by Corio Bay and let the region’s top chefs, winemakers and sommeliers indulge you while raising funds for a local cause. At Bellarine Estate, it’s a wine-matched seafood extravaganza. At Inverleigh, kick-back in Gladioli’s garden marquee and tuck into canapés, sparkling wines and a sumptuous three-courser. At Queenscliff, it’s seaside all the way with a harbour boardwalk table set for a stunning four-course homage to local produce. MORE
Tastes of the Trail | SAT 1 April
Sink into a lazy Saturday afternoon starring the unique producers of the Bellarine Taste Trail. Think: Four-course lunch and matched wines from local vineyards, underscored with conversation and toe-tapping jazz. Teams from Annie’s Kitchen and Barwon Heads Winestore will bring it all to life. MORE
Bellarine Bounty! Tomato Celebration & Seaside Lunch | SUN 2 April
The not-so-humble tomato is guest of honour at this alfresco seaside lunch at Basils Farm. Mmmm, tomato and basil is my favourite food combo. Expect seasonal grazing platters, shared banquet lunch, wild-fermented wines and a guided tour of the edible garden and farm – it’s all about natural, artisan, biodynamic, organic and sustainable practices. An art-inspired food adventure – a roving feast of locally sourced fare will draw you through three gallery spaces alongside Director Jason Smith as he reflects on the highlights of the Geelong Gallery’s collected works and a touring exhibition “Australian Women Abstract Artists”. The 10K Gourmet | FRI 7 April
Oh, for the love of locavore. Every morsel and every drop of wine will be sourced within 10km of Jack Rabbit Vineyard, your host for this divine five-course degustation lunch. Wines matched. Views unrivalled. The Bellarine at its splendid best. MORE
Pigs Do Fly | FRI 7 April
Stretch your foodie wings at Flying Brick Cider House’s celebration of pork and cider – one of the world’s great food and beverage matches. This four-course dinner heroes free-range pork and locally sourced ingredients paired with premium wines and legendary ciders, all crafted on site. MORE
Heritage and Heirlooms on a Plate | SAT 8 Apr
Take an edible tour through Werribee Park Heritage Orchard, Community Gardens and historic mansion. Feast on a bespoke three-course lunch menu designed around local produce, much of it fresh-plucked from the tree or earth. Rub shoulders with Craig Castree, horticulturist, presenter and author, as he shares his passion and insights. MORE
Wine Dine Train | SAT 8 + SUN 9 April
All aboard the Oakdene Express for tour and tastings in the vineyard before an exquisite three-course restaurant lunch. Oakdene is famous for more than its award-wining wines. I’ll be poking around the always-evolving grounds in search of eclectic artworks and quirky installations. MORE
