Father’s Day Celebrations
There is an absolute treasure-trove of Father’s Day happenings in and around Geelong and the Bellarine including; a delicious three-course lunch at Mr Grubb @ Oakdene, a Father’s day feast at the Waterfront Restaurant, breakfast/brunch with the meerkats at Werribee Zoo followed by a sensational safari, an exquisite three-course lunch at Fork n Flower, a decadent three-course lunch at Marty @ Oakdene, luncheon with a view at The Pier and a delightful dad’s day of dining and vino at Terindah Estate.
2 and 8 September
Back for its third season is Paddy Pallin’s epic Women’s Adventure Film Tour; a short film festival that celebrates the inspiring women around us who are doing extraordinary things in the name of adventure. Each screening of the Women's Adventure Film Tour features seven short films across 110 minutes.
‘Well, it's one for the money. Two for the show. Three to get ready. Now go, cat, go’ to the Elvis Presley Story; a re-creation of Elvis’ hit songs with narration, images and footage to accompany.
Join Jack Rabbit Vineyard’s executive chef, Dwayne Bourke, as he escorts you on a mouth-watering food journey. With a focus on pasta and risotto, the class also includes a glass of sparkling on arrival, instructions, ingredients and a sumptuous post-class communal feast with perfectly matched wines.
A full day workshop for those who have an analogue history and are interested in becoming a Focal Point Darkroom member. Film processing, contact sheet creation, the selection process, making an enlargement and a guided tour are all included in this hands-on workshop.
Saturday and Sundays of September
It’s a celebration of the region’s talented artists at the Bellarine People’s Art Awards 2019. Unlike many other art prizes, awards will not be decided by external judges, instead they will be determined by you, the visitors. Take your time appreciating the diversity of artworks and then cast your vote.
A fast-paced, high-energy, uplifting and empowering musical that pokes fun at a number of familiar obsessions. Set in a Women’s Gym, WaistWatchers The Musical takes a hilarious and light-hearted look at four women dishing out on food, diets, exercise, friendship, love, and sex.
Design, create and take home your own abstract masterpiece. Using a round or square board with plant derived resin, you will choose your colour scheme and be guided by an expert educator to apply and finish a resin composition.
11 and 14 September
Hosted by Emily Camorra from Riedel Australia, this masterclass will have you mastering the glass. With the use of four wine glasses from Riedel’s Veritas series, see for yourself why shape matters. Tickets include a set of four beautiful Riedel Veritas glasses valued at $240.
Australia’s iconic Indigenous entertainer, Christine Anu, takes to the stage to celebrate the life and legacy of legendary soul diva, Aretha Franklin. Christine passionately and powerfully sings the Queen of Souls’s most memorable songs, along with her own ARIA award-winning songs.
The Imperial Russian Ballet Company comprised of 40 elite dancers from renowned ballet schools of Russia masterfully perform Swan Lake; a classic tale of love, forgiveness, evil and betrayal.
Bring out your inner Picasso at Geelong’s popular boozy art class. Taking place at The National Hotel, sit across from your mate, glass of wine in hand and follow along as talented artists guide you step-by-step on how to paint each other Picasso style.
‘Down on the corner’… Well, more like down on the Harbour at 360Q, rockabilly tribute band Hey Tonight Creedence Clearwater Revival will be performing their foot-tapping, hand-clapping tribute show. Rock out to Proud Mary, Suzie Q, Down on the Corner and so many more classic Creedence tunes. Tickets include performance and a sumptuous three-course dinner inclusive of beer, wine, sparkling and soft drinks.
Spend the afternoon with some of the greats; Glenn McGrath, Sam Newman, Matthew Richardson and Mark Howard at the Sportsman's Lunch At The Pier. Tickets include a two-course lunch, four-hour bevvie package, entertainment, raffle, live and silent auctions.

26 and 29 August
Join in on what has been deemed, ‘The best running event without breaking a sweat’, The RunNational Film Festival 2019 – Geelong. An evening of inspirational running films plus a Q&A session with special guests. Using running as a medium of storytelling, the festival is a celebration of the indomitable human spirit.
Bring out your inner Monet at Paint and Sip at Leura Park Estate. This hands-on painting class includes art supplies, personalised instruction, five 75 ml premium wine tastings, delicious canapes & cheese and your own canvas masterpiece to take home.
Port Phillip Ferries are saying farewell to winter in absolute style with a Geelong to Bellarine Cruise. Departing from Geelong Waterfront and cruising to the bountiful Bellarine where you will feast and sip at Bennetts on Bellarine and Bouchon at Bellarine. Ticket includes ferry trip from Geelong to Portarlington, transfers to venues, sparkling wine and cheese and charcuterie table at Bennetts, main meal and glass of wine at Bouchon and bus transfer back to Geelong.
