Nightide Fringe returns on Friday night with Between the Devil — Running under the Nightide banner but produced independently by a daring collective of local artists and community creatives, Nightide Fringe is the wicked opening chapter to the festival weekend.
More seductive, stranger and less well-behaved than what follows, this is a night for those drawn to the edge of things.
Set in a secret Queenscliff location, Between the Devil invites guests into a world of gilt-edged glamour, burlesque, music, humour and delicious absurdity. Expect an atmosphere thick with heat, darkness and decadence, where the line between calm and chaos begins to blur. There will be intrigue. There will be innuendo. There will be flesh. And somewhere deep in the revelry, there will be the unmistakable feeling that you may have followed the wrong crowd into exactly the right place.
This event is the devilish prelude to the main event. A one-night fever dream on the eve of Nightide, where shadows lengthen, inhibitions loosen and the strange come out to play.
