Geelong Fishing Charters
Geelong Fishing Charters offers family-friendly recreational fishing trips for all ages and skillsets.
There are a range of fishing trips available, lasting between 2.5 and 8 hours that depart from Wangim Walk, Geelong Waterfront or St. Helen’s Ramp (at the end of Swinburne Street, North Geelong), depending on weather conditions. Participants are required to have a valid fishing license before the trip, available online from the Victorian Fishing Authority website or the Services Victoria App.
Charters include all bait, tackle, food (barbeque sausages in bread, salad, fruit, jam donuts), as well as tea/coffee/milo. Any legal, correct-sized fish caught (usually flatties, but also pinkies/snapper, garfish, whiting, and gummy/school sharks) can be filleted for you and packed on ice to take home. Bag limits apply.
Onboard is a toilet and there is a licensed bar on board for select charters as per liquor license restrictions. Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are available for an extra charge.
Children under 10 are free and 10-15 year-olds are half-price, making it a very affordable fun day out for the family. Repeat participants are offered a loyalty card that rewards one adult trip free for every nine adult tickets purchased.
Currently, due to social distancing measures, numbers are limited so bookings are highly recommended. Gift vouchers and private charters are also available. Companion cards accepted.
