Micro Moves

The Micro Moves Project is a series of short movement films that aim to showcase the artistic and architectural beauty that abounds in the City, from the grandest of views to the smallest of cracks or splatters of laneway graffiti. They are working with a beautiful performance team that are made up of intergenerational professional and non-professional dancers. The cast histories and experience with dance are written and demonstrated through their individual bodies in such different ways; enriching the creative palette and choreographic possibilities.

Working in collaboration with Creative Producer Helen Duncan, film director/choreographer Zoee Marsh and videographers Chris Bryan and Corey Hague, the project will feature digitally recorded site-specific movement films accessed via QR codes on your smartphone. The QR codes will be located at each film site with an address at the end of each film leading you to find the next creative discovery.

From 4 June 2021, the Micro Moves team invite you to grab your phone, your friends and maybe even a warm beverage from your favourite City-based barista and get exploring. There are five short films to find over a one-kilometre walk (approximately) and each film is suitable for all ages.
