Five years before Australia became a nation, Geelong Gallery was established. For over 125 years Geelong Gallery has amassed a significant collection of Australian and European painting, sculpture, printmaking and decorative arts. This includes works made by renowned artists such as Eugène von Guérard, Clarice Beckett, Emily Kame Kngwarreye, and Frederick McCubbin.
Geelong Gallery is one of Australia’s oldest and leading art galleries. Located in Geelong’s thriving Cultural precinct, looking out onto the picturesque Johnstone Park, our exhibitions provide thought-provoking art experiences to enrich your visit.
Geelong Gallery works to contribute to the life and well-being of the city by fostering strong community engagement with the excellence of its collection, its creative lifelong learning experiences, and inspiring exhibitions.
