24 Hours In Point Lonsdale
10am
Have a leisurely brekkie at Grow Naturally. Staff are friendly, coffee is good and the menu includes options for healthy diets and healthy appetites.
11am
Do some shopping in the main street. Wander between fashion, gifts, accessories and homeware boutiques. A good holiday should always include some retail therapy.
12.30pm
Lunch at Noble Rot. Enjoy a big bowl of soup and bread, or shared Montaditos. Good coffee and cheese. Maybe a cheeky wine too. Chat to the team about their HUGE range of take-away wine with global and local highlights. Get some advice on what you should take home to open later today or at a later date.
1pm
Walk along the beach. There’s long arc of sand on the Front Beach running towards Queenscliff or, in the other direction, explore the Point Lonsdale Lighthouse precinct. The rocky cliffs are dotted with holes and crevices, including a cave where escaped convict William Buckley is believed to have lived. There’s a viewing platform at the other side with views of The Rip, Point Nepean and Port Phillip Bay. Watch as ships navigate their way through Port Phillip Heads bound for Melbourne.
3pm
Grab a good, old-fashioned ice cream from Lix. So many flavours to choose from!
4pm
Check in at luxury Lonsdale Views – have a swim in the glorious pool or just relax with your feet up for a couple of hours.
6pm
Head out to the Lonsdale Golf Club for a casual dinner in the bistro with views across Lake Victoria and, when the weather commands it, the big open fire will be roaring.
