Autumn is my fave season of all. Cooler sun-kissed days. Leaves crunching underfoot in the park. Grape harvest at the vineyards. There’s no better time to get out and celebrate the region’s bounty, boost your wellbeing or feed your cultural soul.

Lara Food and Wine Festival | SUN 26 Mar I remember the very first fabulous iteration of this festival in 2009. Word is it gets more epic every year. And this year looks like a ripper – 60+ food + bevie exhibitors, celebrity chef, cooking comp’s and live entertainment, all nestled in the grounds of historic Pirra Homestead.  MORE >>


Ride the Bellarine | SUN 9 Apr

Strap on you bike helmet and take off for a two-wheeling adventure along the incredibly scenic roads of the Bellarine Peninsula. Choose a 60km or 105km route then hit the bitumen. You’ll be pedalling with purpose, raising funds for a Rotary Club public health project. MORE >>

You’re ready for this! It’s no walk in the park, just a glorious run alongside the Barwon River from Belmont to Breakwater, Fyansford and back again. Whether you keep the pace with experienced runners or shuffle to your own beat, it’s good for body and soul. Haven’t embraced that training schedule as you’d hoped? MSO Plays Petrushka | FRI 26 May

Sink into the drama and beauty of classical music presented at Geelong’s Costa Hall by Australia’s oldest professional orchestra.
