Avalon Raceway has been a staple of Victoria’s motorsport scene since opening in 1976.
Located in Lara, the track is an oval dirt circuit made from a clay and sand mix, stretching 390 metres in length.
In the early 1990s, the move to a full clay surface turned Avalon into one of the state’s top sprint car venues. The track now attracts major national and international events, including rounds of the World Series Sprintcars.
Over the years, Avalon has hosted some of the biggest names in racing, from local champions to visiting drivers from the United States. The venue continues to deliver high-speed action and a great night out for motorsport fans of all ages.
