Coast Guard Queenscliff Fishing Competition

In recognition of Coast Guard Queenscliff's 50 years of volunteer marine rescue, the Association of Geelong and District Angling Clubs in conjunction with Coast Guard Queenscliff, will be holding a community fishing competition.

Participants can launch or begin as early as they'd like anywhere around Port Phillip bay on the day, with the weigh in happening at 3 pm at the Coast Guard Queenscliff Headquarters.

The winning weight will be decided by secret ballot, not necessarily the heaviest or longest fish.

For 50 years, the Coast Guard Queenscliff's volunteers have stood ready to respond day or night.

2,390 rescues completed, 6,050 people brought safely home, over $70 million in vessels saved.
