Hounds of the Vine is a family-owned vineyard and cellar door set on the Bellarine Peninsula, offering a relaxed wine and food experience surrounded by vines, open farmland and farm animals.
Visitors can enjoy guided wine tastings, wines by the glass or bottle, and a seasonal food menu focused on locally sourced produce and regional ingredients. The kitchen takes inspiration from the region while also incorporating occasional Indian and Sri Lankan influences, creating a distinctive menu designed to complement the wines.
Our estate-grown range includes Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Cabernet Franc, Tempranillo and Italian-inspired varieties, with several wines receiving medals at regional and national wine shows. Hounds of the Vine has also been recognised at the Golden Plate Awards, including an award for Best Regional Cellar Door.
The cellar door offers a welcoming setting for couples, families and small groups, with views across the vineyard and plenty of outdoor space to enjoy on a sunny day. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on lead in the outdoor areas, making Hounds of the Vine an easy stop for visitors exploring the Bellarine with their four-legged companions.
We are generally open from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, with additional Friday trading during parts of the summer season. Bookings are recommended, particularly on busy weekends and event days. Groups of more than 10 guests are encouraged to contact us directly so we can discuss suitable arrangements.
For visitors wishing to stay longer and enjoy the property at a slower pace, Hounds of the Vine also offers a limited number of camping spots on the estate.
