Indigenous Grass Terrarium Making

Gather slowly, and step into a space where making becomes listening.

In this workshop, you'll create a living terrarium inside a delicate glass orb layering earth, moss, and Indigenous grasses to form your own self-contained ecosystem. Guided through the process, you'll learn how to build and care for a miniature world that continues to grow beyond the day.

Working with natural fibres and locally sourced materials, this is a tactile, meditative experience. An invitation to connect with Country and carry a small, living artwork home to remind you of caring for our larger environment.

Facilitated by Britt Silvester, a Yorta Yorta contemporary artist known for creative works that draw deep inspiration from the natural world and Indigenous cultural heritage.
