Enjoy the magic of Wyndham City’s free light festival, LIT this Autumn from Thursday – Sunday, 27 March to 13 April.
As the sun goes down, Wyndham Park will be transformed into a dreamlike canvas, filled with impressive iridescent bubbles and towering wildflowers, glowing animal sculptures, fantastical trees, projections and more.
This year’s festival will include the jaw-dropping Ephemeral Collection by Atelier Sisu, featuring more than 50 larger-than-life iridescent bubbles that radiate colour and sound.
Beyond the trail of bubbles, immerse yourself in The Guardians – a forest-like installation by Matthew Aberline of The Beautiful and Useful Studio that celebrates Australian wildflowers and the rich colours of the land.
As you explore the glowing trails, keep your eye out for playful night creatures from The Lanternist and Tarutharu – The Kaurna Skink a 27-metre-long, glowing sculpture created by A Blanck Canvas in collaboration with First Nations artist Elizabeth Close Arts and Jack Buckskin, as a representative of the Kaurna Peoples.
This year’s program will also feature the debut of Ctrl-Alt-Self by Studio John Fish, a dreamy new light walk by Wyndham artist, Ariadne Concha and much more!
Sensory Friendly Nights: Wednesday 2 and 9 April.
