The Bellarine Performing Arts Centre, affectionately known as the Potato Shed, is a vibrant multipurpose performance space, connecting the local Bellarine community to the best in performing arts.

Situated between two high schools, the Potato Shed is where local students hone their performing arts skills.

Theatre groups and dance troupes who call the Potato Shed home include the Bellarine Jongleurs, S&S Dance and Fuse Dance, and local theatre company Theatre 3triple2 present their annual Winter Solstice One Act Plays and 12 x 12 Plays in the black box theatre.

Each year, the Potato Shed presents an exceptional performing arts program featuring some of the best touring shows in Australia. Over the years, we’ve played host to a who’s who of Australian theatre and music, including Mark Holden, Michael Veitch, Debra Byrne, and Mr Entertainment himself, Issi Dye.

The annual program of community events includes Spookfest; our Christmas spectacular and our outdoor January Summer Series.

Making rehearsal spaces, the outdoor stage and the black box theatre available to all, helps us to nurture and support our local community to write, direct, act and produce live theatre. You can contact us on 5251 1998 to find out about how you can hire our space.
