Wowak, meaning breathe, is a gentle guided meditation led by Kiri Tawhai, a multimedia artist, curator, mentor, and the founder of Djinang Aroha, a First Nations–run arts-based wellbeing business rooted in play, connection, and healing.
Kiri is a proud Noongar, Ngāpuhi, and Ngāti Tūwharetoa woman raised on Yaburara Country.
These sessions weave together breath, body movement, and storytelling to guide you back into connection with yourself and Country. Through the sharing of Songlines, you'll be invited to listen deeply, move softly, and breathe with intention—grounding into presence, Culture, and the stories that live within and around you.
No experience is needed, just a willingness to arrive and breathe.
Accessible to all. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Attendance is free, but capacity is 15 people per session. No preparation or materials are required.
