The secret’s out… ALWAYS LIVE is coming to Geelong and The Bellarine!
Throughout autumn and winter, ALWAYS LIVE has been taking free pop-up music events on the road to regional Victorian towns. And it’s now central Geelong’s turn to host the much-loved live music event on Saturday 27 June.
Previous gigs have taken place in Ballarat, Bendigo, Shepparton and Lorne with acts like Dan Sultan, Augie March, Matt Corby and Angus & Julia Stone popping up in unexpected gig locations. And it’s all been free to attend and enjoy.
While the date is announced, the acts and exact gig locations are still under wraps. But if past events are anything to go by, we’re sure Geelong will be well worth the trip.

Leave the car at home with half-price train travel
V/Line is running half price train fares until Friday 1 January 2027. The Geelong-Warrnambool line takes you straight to Geelong Train Station which is perfect walking distance to the ALWAYS LIVE surprise gig locations. It takes just over an hour from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne and 2.5 hours from Warrnambool Train Station. A free gig and cheap train travel, how good’s that?
