Free public transport for April

There's now even more reason to leave the car at home and book a last-minute stay this April with free public transport across Victoria.

V/Line trains run regular services to Geelong on the Geelong-Melbourne and Warrnambool-Geelong lines. Buses run throughout the region, connecting Geelong to The Bellarine and the Moorabool Valley.

Other ways to get to Geelong and The Bellarine

There are a few other ways to get to Geelong and The Bellarine and many of them don't involve cars. You can catch the foot passenger ferry from Docklands in Melbourne to Portarlington via Port Phillip Ferries. Select services also run from Portarlington to Geelong.

Board as either a foot passenger, bicycle rider or bring the car with Searoad Ferries. With regular crossings from Sorrento in Mornington Peninsula to Queenscliff on The Bellarine, you'll be at your destination in approximately 45 minutes. From there you can explore Queenscliff on foot or jump in the car and explore further.

For those from interstate, Avalon Airport has several domestic flights via Jetstar and is a short 25-minute drive to the Geelong CBD. You can also catch Route 18 bus from the airport to Lara Train Station and catch the train into Geelong.
