Easter's just around the corner, and if you're looking for things to do near Melbourne, Geelong and The Bellarine has heaps of fun events lined up.
It’s also easy to get here, with V/Line trains running regularly from Melbourne straight into the Geelong CBD, so you can skip the drive and get straight into your weekend.
Let us give you the lowdown so you can plan a cracking good time!
Easter long weekend will fall on Friday, April 3 to Monday, April 6 2026.
Easter Family Fun at Queens Park Golf & Range
Thursday 2 April
A free afternoon set up for families with a kids scavenger hunt, Easter Bunny visit, lawn games, music and food. You’ll need to register ahead, but it’s an easy win if you’re looking to keep the kids entertained.
Bellarine Railway Easter & Good Friday Trips in Queenscliff
Dates: Friday 3 April, Saturday 4 April, Sunday 5 April
Take a scenic steam train ride along Swan Bay with a stop at Lakers Siding, with Good Friday trips supporting the Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal. Across the weekend, kids can meet the Easter Bunny and enjoy the ride.
Easter Long Weekend at Edge Geelong
Thursday 2 April – Monday 6 April
Kicks off with drink specials on Thursday, then rolls into seafood, cocktails, DJs, bottomless sessions and all-day dining across the long weekend. Easy option if you’re staying around the waterfront.Find out more
Easter Weekend Dining at Tempo Kitchen & Bar
Friday 3 April – Monday 6 April
From seafood lunches on Good Friday to a full Easter Sunday brunch buffet, high tea and dinner options, there’s something running across the whole weekend right on the waterfront at Tempo.
Easter Themed Market at Geelong City Market
Saturday 4 April
A morning Easter egg hunt kicks off from 9am with over 500 eggs to find, plus a kids drawing competition with a giant 1kg chocolate egg up for grabs, alongside music, food and fresh produce for your weekly shop.
Easter Festival at Bellarine Estate
Sunday 5 April
A full day out with Easter egg hunts, live music, jumping castle, animal farm and market stalls, all supporting Cottage by the Sea.
Easter at the Estate at Mt Duneed Estate
Sunday 5 April
Settle in for lunch, wine and Easter treats, with a chance to win a chocolate and wine hamper on the day. A relaxed way to spend an afternoon on the Bellarine.
Easter Picnic at Austin’s Cellar Door
Sunday 5 April
Wine tastings on the lawn, live music, face painting and two hunts. Easter eggs for the kids and a wine hunt for the adults. Bring a picnic blanket and settle in for the afternoon.
Easter fun at Portarlington Bayside Miniature Railway
Saturday 4 – Sunday 5 April
All aboard from 11am to 3pm for family-friendly train rides, with $2 rides on Saturday and Easter Sunday bringing lucky draws, treats and plenty of Easter eggs.
