Getting here

Barwon Heads is 1 hour and 20 minutes (109 kilometres) from Melbourne or roughly 24 minutes (22 kilometres) from Geelong by car.

Or bring your gear in the car via the ferry from Sorrento in Mornington Peninsula to Queenscliff with Searoad Ferries. The crossing takes 45 minutes and it's then a further 25 minutes (20 kilometres) drive to Barwon Heads.

Flights run regularly between Avalon and Sydney, Gold Coast and Brisbane via Avalon Airport. It's then a 25-minute drive to Geelong with hire cars able to be organised and booked in advance.
