Set in an old woollen mill, Little Creatures Brewery is Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory but for beer. The lane between the heritage buildings becomes the perfect al fresco spot, with colourful umbrellas and rustic tables.
Witness the brewing process in action and join a tour to get behind the scenes on the process. Enjoy a ploughman’s board or wander down Mystery Lane where you'll find fun markets from time to time.

An emporium of beer with a changing rotation of taps, roaming brew crews and beer appreciation classes with a great beer garden to soak up the sunshine.
Malt Shovel Taphouse is the perfect spot to settle in for a balmy afternoon and pair your beer with a dish from the rotisserie-focused menu - a specialty of the kitchen and the perfect complement to craft beers.

On the airy, free-flowing ground floor, Pavilion cafe is soaked in natural light. With seating that spills out onto the promenade, welcoming foodies, families and furry friends, it's the perfect spot for a sun-soaked meal out.
The menu is a considered fare of modern brunch, offering up a prawn and kimchi omelette and cauliflower and haloumi fritters beside more traditional chilli scrambled and various Acai bowls. Powered by Inglewood Coffee.

For outdoor dining in a top spot, head to Sailors' Rest and take in views of The Carousel, Cunningham Pier and out towards Corio Bay.

Sailor's Rest, Geelong
A new addition to the Geelong waterfront in 2023, Tempo Kitchen and Bar takes up a prime spot beneath the Novotel Geelong.
Al fresco dining extends onto the footpath, giving you a chance to glimpse the bay while dining on Tempo's seafood and grill-style-focused menu that celebrates rich local produce and Victorian flavours.

You don't get much closer to the gentle lapping of the waterfront than the al fresco seating at Wharf Shed. With seats lining the side and bay-end of the building, there's ample seating to soak up the sun and sounds of the coast.
Here you'll find everything from international flavours to street food and standard restaurant meals all in a relaxed setting. Carlton Draught comes straight from the tank and there's more craft and standard beers on offer.

Wharf Shed Cafe, Geelong
Nestled on the outskirts of Geelong, Nicol's Paddock is a hidden gem that feels worlds away.
A small, family-owned vineyard, the team pride themselves on a shared dining experience that showcases locally sourced and seasonal ingredients. Paired with their great wine - they grow two acres of Shiraz grapes onsite - it makes for a perfect, delicious day out.
As for outdoor dining, Nicol's has a great al fresco space overlooking the small plot of vines out front.

Nicol's Paddock
Barwon Edge Café provides top nosh amidst the beautiful surrounds of the banks of the Barwon River. Outside there's ample outdoor seating across the deck and you'll even find families setting up picnic-style on the grass beside the playground.
Offering an assortment of modern Australian dishes and cafe favourites on the menu - think pastries, sandwiches and pizzas - it's a go-to spot for families and those taking a leisurely walk along the river.

Known for their baked goods and the famed creme brulee donut, Paddock Bakery is a must for those who love a sweetie treatie. There's plenty for those less sugar-enthused, with plenty of savoury baked goods and standard breakfast and lunch menu items.
Paddock boasts one of the larger outdoor dining spaces for cafes in the area, with a variety of picnic and bar table configurations for various group sizes. The parking here is a great too - another reason to visit!

At first glance, you'll find it hard to resist the pull of Meet Me at Mary's ample outdoor dining area which faces Pakington Street and is often filled with people laughing, raising a glass and living their best lives. Delve deeper and you'll be even more impressed by the thoughtfully styled interiors, classy atmosphere and menu of modern Australian cuisine seasoned with bold Asian influences.
