Spring is shaping up to be massive around Geelong and The Bellarine. From music and motors to art, fashion and food, here’s what’s on and when.

Geelong Gallery
One of the biggest exhibitions ever shown at Geelong Gallery is here until October. Discovering the Impressionists features more than 70 paintings from some of the world’s most recognised artists, including Monet, Renoir, Berthe Morisot and Camille Pissarro. Many works are from private collections in France and have never before been seen in Australia. Don't miss this one.

Deakin University Geelong Waterfront Campus
The Geelong Fragrance Fair is Australia's first and only dedicated fair for independent and artisanal perfumery. Presented by Olfactive Society Inc., it returns in 2026 for its second iteration, expanding to three days. The fair is a celebration of Australian scent culture, bringing together independent perfumers, creative directors, fragrance lovers and curious members of the public for a weekend of discovery, conversation and community.

Eastern Beach Geelong
The Geelong Running Festival will stage its first ever marathon, complimented by a half marathon and community eight kilometre event. You can run or walk around the streets of Geelong traffic free, pass through iconic Kardinia Park, and enjoy picturesque views of Corio Bay and the Eastern Beach foreshore.

Geelong Arts Centre & Little Malop Street
Magic, music, and immersive shows light up Geelong Arts Centre. On 19–20 September, the Big Wonder Weekend transforms Little Malop Street with roving performers, food and free family activities.

Geelong Cup day brings the Spring Racing Carnival energy to town, with top horses chasing a Melbourne Cup golden ticket, trackside fashion, great food and a big day out at Geelong Racing Club.

Old Geelong Gaol
This Halloween, the Old Geelong Gaol is filling its cells with wine, food and a few spooky surprises. Dark Cellars brings together more than 20 winemakers, brewers, distillers and artisan producers, with tastings spread across the Gaol’s original bluestone cells. There’ll also be themed masterclasses, live performers, mugshots, temporary tattoos and Death by Chocolate inside the Gaol’s former mortuary. It’s strictly 18+ and a free shuttle will run from Geelong Station.

Queenscliff
Queenscliff Music Festival is back for three big days of live music by the coast, with more than 70 artists taking over Queenscliff.
