For the Fancy Dad

(Give him a taste of the finer things.)

ALMA Geelong

Latin American flavours, margaritas, and a vibe to match.

Baah Lah!

Asian-Australian fusion done right. Choose the special Father’s Day menu or the full classic spread.

1915, Fishermen’s Pier, and The Raw

All solid picks for the foodie dad. Coastal views, great service, wine lists that’ll impress, and mains worth remembering.

For the Wine Dad

(Swirls, sniffs, and says “hints of pepper” like he knows what it means.)

Jack Rabbit Vineyard

For the dad who loves wine with a view. Sweeping bay vistas, a top-tier menu, and some of the region’s best drops on pour.

Oneday Estate

A little rustic, a little romantic, and very cool. The kind of place that feels like a well-kept secret.

Pops Wine Bar

An intimate wine bar tucked away in Geelong West. Great wines by the glass, a relaxed vibe, and top-notch grazing boards.

For the Beer Dad

Has opinions on hops. (Probably brews his own.)

Mt Pleasant Rd Brewers

A local Belmont spot for Mt Pleasant Rd beer, wine and a bite to eat

FarmDog Brewing @ McGlashan’s Estate or Little Malop Street

Paddock views, tasting paddles, and good beer dogs. Or head into Geelong city on Little Malop Street.

Blackman’s Brewery Geelong

Craft brews, beer garden energy, and a good time.

For the Small Kids Dad

(Room to roam, food they’ll actually eat, and room to breathe.)

Little Creatures Brewery

A Geelong favourite with plenty of space for families. The kids can hit the indoor playground while you settle in with a beer, and the menu has plenty of familiar favourites, including options for little ones. There’s also plenty of room for prams and kids to move around.

Flying Brick Cider House

Bring the kids, grab a cider and settle in outside. There’s lawn space for a run around and lawn games for bigger kids, so you can enjoy a tasting paddle while they stay busy.

Austin’s Wines

There’s plenty of space to spread out at Austin’s, with open lawns, a roomy cellar door and an easygoing menu made for sharing. A good option when you want a winery lunch without worrying too much about the kids sitting still.

Barwon Edge

Right by the Barwon River, with shady trees, open space and a playground on site. Grab lunch or a coffee while the kids have a run around, then settle back in for a bit longer.

Buckley’s Entertainment Centre

When the kids need something to do, Buckley’s makes it pretty easy. There’s indoor play, bistro-style food and plenty to keep them occupied while you get a chance to eat.

Got a Pub Dad?
