Spring racing, Cup Day and summer racing at Geelong Racecourse.

Racing is a big part of Geelong’s events calendar, with race days running across spring and into summer at Geelong Racecourse.

The biggest is the Ladbrokes Geelong Cup, held on Wednesday 21 October 2026. There’s also Girls on Track on Friday, 13 November out with friends, while Super Saturday on the Coast brings racing and family activities to Geelong on January, 2nd.

Wednesday 21 October 2026

Geelong Cup Day brings racing, fashion, food, drinks and live entertainment together for one of Geelong’s biggest events of the year.

There are plenty of ways to spend the day, with General Admission on the Furphy Lawn, trackside hospitality, marquees and dining packages. Several hospitality options are already selling fast or sold out.

What’s happening off the track?

The racing might be the main event, but there’s plenty happening around the course too.

John Course returns for the official afterparty, while the Food Pavilion will have food trucks and pop-up bars throughout the day. There’s also Fashions on the Field, the Ladbrokes Putt Challenge and Urban Dust Hat Bar.

Getting to Geelong Cup

If you’re coming into Geelong, free shuttle buses will run between the racecourse, Geelong Bus Interchange and South Geelong Station.

Driving? Parking is available along Breakwater Road opposite the racecourse, with designated drop-off areas on Fowler Street and Cosgrove Street.

Plan your day

The Geelong Cup draws a crowd of around 10,000 every year. Some go all out with marquee packages, others keep it casual on the lawn with friends. Either way, it's one of the biggest days on the local calendar.

Girls on Track

Friday 13 November 2026

Girls on Track is a ladies-day tradition, supporting the Barwon Health Foundation, with racing, lunch, entertainment and a chance to catch up with friends trackside.

The Silks Dining Package includes three-course dining, a five-hour beverage package, entertainment and access to the La Scenté Fragrance Bar, while General Admission is also available.

Ladbrokes Christmas Party Race Day

Friday 11 December 2026

Finish the working year at the races with live racing, trackside bands and Christmas celebrations at Geelong Racing Club.

General Admission is available for a casual afternoon at the track, or groups can book private marquees and the Silks Dining Package with food and drinks included.

Super Saturday on the Coast

Saturday 2 January 2027

Summer racing gets underway with Super Saturday on the Coast, one of Geelong Racing Club’s biggest family race days.

Kids enter free, with a Kids Entertainment Precinct, rides, activities and plenty happening away from the track. Bring a picnic for the lawn or grab something from the food trucks, with live racing and the Community Cup running throughout the day.
