High Tea by Tempo launches 28 February with a coastal take on the classic three tier spread. Sweet and savoury bites, welcome bubbles, unlimited premium tea and native Australian flavours, all served on the waterfront location. A nice way to spend an afternoon with friends or family.
Travelling with family or friends just got easier. The new Homesteads sleep eight, with a king bed, bunks for the kids, a BBQ deck and even an outdoor clawfoot bath. Plenty of space, practical touches, and built for holidays where everyone can actually relax.

The Birch is now open for dinner Wednesday to Saturday. Expect comforting home style dishes, a cosy feel, and a daily Tipsy Hour from 5 to 6pm. Perfect if you already love The Birch it's now time to enjoy dinner.
There’s a new beer garden in town and it’s a big one. A large LED screen, weekend DJs and plenty of space to settle in with friends. Good spot to catch the game or linger over a drink.
Nearly ten years in the making, this new spot from the Oakdene family finally opens on 19 November. It brings together food, wine, art and places to stay, all looking out over Swan Bay, so it feels like you’ve escaped without going far. There’s the new Hidden Frog restaurant, the Oakdene cellar door, a free art gallery packed with pieces from the owners personal collection, plus the chance to stay right among the vines. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to wander around, then book a return visit before you’ve even left.
Lon Retreat in Point Lonsdale has just unveiled a new outdoor thermal experience. A Finnish sauna warmed by the firepit, a magnesium plunge, a Swedish soak bucket and wide ocean views. You can book a stay or add a BATHE+SAUNA+PLUNGE session to your next spa visit, so it works for a full getaway or a quick reset.
THUNDER FALLS brings Victoria’s first freefall drop slides to Adventure Park Geelong, setting up a big summer for anyone who loves a fast ride. Step into the launch chamber, wait for the countdown and the floor drops away, sending you through 105 metres of twists and turns at roughly 35 kilometres per hour. The slides are built with translucent fibreglass so you can see riders speed past, and they are suitable for families and thrill seekers. Opening November 22.
Laam Thai has teamed up with Austin’s Wines for a six week pop up that’s all about bold northern Thai flavours made with local produce. The chefs behind Laam Thai began their supper club in London and now bring their regional dishes to the Moorabool Valley, including flavours that rarely appear on standard menus. It is relaxed, generous and built for sharing, with a kids menu available as well. Seats are limited and the pop up runs until the end of the year, so it is worth planning a lunch before it wraps up.
Geelong City Market is a new weekly spot built around local food, produce and creativity. It brings together growers, makers and small businesses with stalls for eating, shopping and learning, plus regular workshops and cooking demos with Simon Toohey. You will also find rotating features on local ingredients, live music and simple ways to connect with the region’s makers. It runs every Saturday from 9am to 2pm on Little Malop Street Central, except 27 December.
From March 2026 Jetstar will restart its Melbourne Avalon Airport Avalon to Adelaide service and add more Brisbane flights, making it much easier for interstate visitors to reach Geelong and The Bellarine. And international is back, starting with Bali to Avalon. The airport is gearing up with terminal upgrades, more parking and a daily bus link between the airport and Lara Station, helping travellers get here with less hassle.
High above the Moorabool Valley sits Vintners Lodge, a restored farmhouse with serious charm. Each bedroom has its own personality, mixing antiques with bold design and modern comfort.

Wallington’s favourite brewery now has a home in the city. FarmDog’s new Little Malop Street venue pours small-batch beers and creative gins, including their popular Shiraz Gin and seasonal limited releases.
