The last weekend of November means one thing: Queenscliff Music Festival. Known to locals as QMF, this seaside celebration takes over The Bellarine with three days of live music, comedy, food, art and family-friendly fun. It’s all set in the historic heart of Queenscliff, just 90 minutes from Melbourne.
Here’s how to make the most of your long weekend.
The 2025 lineup is stacked. Catch festival favourites The Cat Empire, The Waifs and Thelma Plum alongside US surf rocker Donavon Frankenreiter, alt-rock legends Little Birdy and Yolŋu rockers King Stingray. Add in Cosmic Psychos, The Preatures, Tex Perkins & Matt Walker and Ella Hooper, and you’ve got a weekend of wall-to-wall tunes.
QMF is where you stumble on your next favourite band. Rising stars like Ally Row, Emilia Fol, Kit Genesis, and Otis Namrell Band join the mix, alongside a wave of up-and-coming Australian artists gathering serious buzz.
It’s not all guitars and drum kits. Comedy heavyweights Claire Hooper and Lizzy Hoo lead the laughs, while DJs like Miss Goldie, Fee B Squared and Cool Out Sun DJs keep the party going after dark.

This one’s for the whole family. The dedicated kids program includes Teeny Tiny Stevies, Peter Combe, circus fun, puppet shows, roving performers and even a silent disco just for little legs.
Arts Kids QMF
Expect creative art installations, community singalongs, yoga with live music and plenty of local food and wine from The Bellarine. Between sets, wander the foreshore, sip a local drop and take in the bay views.

This year brings a wave of fresh activations that take the festival beyond the main stage. Catch stripped-back sets aboard Searoad Ferry as it cruises across the bay, or step inside the Vue Grand Dining Room and Queenscliff Maritime Museum for intimate performances in unexpected settings. Around town, buskers will fill the streets with music and add to the festival buzz.
Settle in to the site for the afternoon, head to the Seaside Common to enjoy a handcrafted cocktail from Flowstate Cocktail Bar, locally crafted in Torquay, or indulge in the best local produce the Bellarine has to offer, with oysters and cheese from Tarra, or pastries from Ket Baker or a fine wine from the Bellarine Wine Bar showcasing local wineries from the region, including Scotchman's Hill, BAIE Wines, Leura Park Estate and Bellarine Estate.
Searoad Ferries
Camping is always a festival favourite, with the grounds only a short walk from your tent and the beach close enough for a morning swim. If camping isn’t your style, Queenscliff has plenty of other spots to crash after a big day of music.
